The Sansone Wedding

Chris and Sarah just sent everyone links to their wedding pictures. I was flipping through them and saw some great ones of some of the design pieces I did for them. There are two of the programs we put together, which turned out wonderful. I think we hit the pink pretty close there. Plus, there is one with the CD case that I did for them. It's in the background of the picture, but still, it's there! I thought those turned out pretty darn good too. And, of course, I found one of Sophia and me. She looks so tiny in that picture! She was just 4 months old there. Boy has she grown a lot in the past two months. We have her 6 month doctor's appointment on Monday, so I'll let everyone know just how big she is!

Happy Father's Day!

Happy Father's Day! A special Father's Day to all those first-time dads out there.

Sophia and I made sure Brett's first Father's Day went well. We made breakfast in bed this morning. Well, I made breakfast, and Sophia watched me and babbled from her high chair. I helped Sophia pick out a GREAT gift for Brett. He's been wanting to go to the driving range lately, since the weather has warmed up, so we brought the driving range to him. We found him a net that he can set up in the backyard to practice driving. We even found him special practice golf balls. Thank you Target for putting all the golfing supplies on SUPER sale this past week. Sophia really liked those golf balls, so we let her play with them while Brett opened his gift.

We basically bummed around all morning and afternoon. Watched the US Open for a while. Baked a big chocolate chip cookie and decorated it with #1 Dad. I went to the grocery store the other day and found a smoking deal on T-bone steaks. Yeah, Brett loves me. Golf and red meat. Can't get much better than that.

I think Sophia has figured out what my camera is. Every time I pick it up now, she immediately smiles. She's also started to do this little chirping thing. Sometimes Brett and I will be talking, and we'll hear her "ah"..."ah"..."ah"...over and over again, especially when we're on the phone. Those "ah"s are starting to get inflections too, so some sound like statements while others are questions. It's so much fun to listen to her try to carry on a conversation. I think we're going to have a talker on our hands!

The latest toy

The Jumperoo's new official home is in Sophia's doorway, about 5 feet away from my desk. She's really loving this thing. Plus, I can see her while I work on my computer. This thing makes afternoon's go quickly. What a great investment!

Quick Steps

We have found that Sophia loves to stand and move her legs whenever we grab her by the hands, so we've decided to start moving around. I don't know if this could be classified as excersise or torture. You be the judge.

Curtis Guitars

Today, I shot pictures for Curtis Guitars. Curtis builds these gorgeous custom electric guitars. I was so excited. We shot these images outside, and today was beautiful and overcast - perfect filtered lighting.
