My brother-in-law and sister posted these pictures on their family blog from when Brett, Sophia and I made our trip home last April. I'm having total flashbacks from my childhood, when ALL of the family on the Suppinger side sat for the annual Christmas photo. The herding of grandchildren was always interesting, and trying to get them all to look at the camera never did happen. At least there's no one crying in these pictures! And to think, there will be another one added to the mix in October when my sister has her baby. WOW!
Sophia loves to stand up, and lately, she's been holding on to our hands and taking a few steps. We sort of help propel her forward, and I think her feet just follow. She actually walks up Brett's chest when he holds her, and she ends up stepping all over his face. I tried to get some good pictures of her doing that. We shot a video the other day of her walking, and Brett's working on putting it to music. Look for that soon!
The Annual Report that I designed for the Warren County Economic Development Council won a design award. Here is the article if anyone wants to read it. Click on the 2007 Annual Report text in the article, and you can download a copy of the document. http://www.edcwc.org/vision/0608/othernews4.html
Sophia and I went on a walk this evening. She fell asleep as I pulled the stroller in to the driveway, so I decided to take her inside and parked her in the foyer. After about a half hour, I checked on her, and she looked so sweet, I decided to take a picture of her. I was so careful. I tiptoed over there, made sure the flash was off on the camera, and *click*...the sound of the camera woke her up. Note to self: no photography while napping.
Sophia keeps seeing this super cute baby in the mirror on her playmat. Today, she decided to try to give the baby a kiss. Apparently, it was funny, because she cracked up afterward.
Sophia has been getting really good at rolling around on the floor. I have to keep putting her on one side of the room, only to pick her up after she's rolled all the way to the other side. It's fun to watch. Lately she's been pushing herself up with her hands, like she's ready to crawl away.
Apparently, she rolled around too much and got tired. I was working on my computer, and she was giggling away. Two minutes later, she was passed out. Whew! It's hard work being a baby.
