On Saturday, I went driving around to some garage sales around town. I'm usually looking for sales that have a whole bunch of baby clothes. I'm stocking up on 12-24 month clothes for Sophia, and you can get some pretty cheap, name-brand clothes at yard sales. So I went around to a few places, and I found two super amazing deals on things that we've been wanting but can't really afford right now.
#1 - I paid a whopping $5 for a practically brand new VCR. We didn't need it to watch tapes. We needed it to use on our bedroom TV, so we could get more cable channels. I love my Bravo, and now I can watch it in bed. Best of all, this RCA VCR works with the 25-year-old RCA television perfectly. We can use both remotes an everything. It's uncanny. I'm so proud of myself.
#2 - I paid $2 for a scooter for Sophia. We've been on the lookout for those little scooters that can be used either in a riding or standing position. We figure Sophia is about ready to take some real walking steps, so this will help. Um...I think she likes it. Look at that smile. She walked that thing right up and down the hallway. It was impressive. She pushes with one hand more than the other, so she's constantly running in to things. All in all, she's doing really well with it. Previously loved toys - there's nothing a little Clorox can't clean!
