Busy making Christmas gifts

Still have some more things to sew for the Musick side of the family, but I can at least post what I worked on for the Suppinger side for this Christmas.

Still working on this blanket for my parents. I plan on hand quilting it. All of those leaves and stems are edged in satin stitching that I did on my sewing machine. I went through almost 3 spools of thread. WOW. Simply backed in brown fabric.

I so wanted to keep this blanket that I made for Louis and Carla. I simply tied this one. The back is cream flannel.

Strip quilting takes cutting the fabric out of the equation and saves so much time. I made this blanket for Aaron and Laurie from a jelly roll of Moda fabric. I machine quilted along the top and bottom edge of each horizontal cream band. It is backed in muslin.

All of the girls in the family got these zip-up jackets that I embellished with flowers that are edged in blanket stitching.

All the boys got long-sleeve t-shirts with their names on the front and flames down the arms.
