Fall Flowers

AREN'T THEY PRETTY!!!

I decided that the front flower bed at our townhouse needed some sprucing up. I don't think that the woman who used to live in this place really maintained the landscaping. The bushes were pretty overgrown, and the poor irises looked like they hadn't been trimmed in a few years. Brett and I cleaned up the area about two months ago, but it didn't make much of a difference. I decided that we just needed to invest a little time in it. So, for less than $20, we trimmed, planted two beautiful yellow mums (smoking deal at Walmart for $4.50 a piece), and spread two bags of mulch. It looks SO much better. Now, this place actually looks like we care about it. Ah... Just in time for the fall.

Last week, we spent Labor Day in the front yard, playing in the grass and washing, waxing, and Rain-X-ing my car. Today, we did our planting while Sophia was napping, and then Brett washed and waxed his car. It was a pretty day. It didn't even get above 80 degrees. I think Sophia likes being outside. We bring out her Pack-and-Play, which she hates to sit in while we are working. So lately, we've been letting her play in the grass while we do our thing. She pretty much stays in one place. I think she's still trying to figure out what the grass is, and she's afraid to crawl through it. I took some cute pictures of her in the front lawn and threw some fancy filters on them. Enjoy!

I'm missing all the bath time fun. Must go!

Good grief. She is so stinkin' cute! I love her facial expressions!
